![]() If you do decide to use an app to upload your vaccine record, I would personally recommend the Clear app. ![]() It lets you complete that one step ahead of time, and I think seeing the green QR code provides a little peace of mind (it did in my case at least), but it isn't required to use one of the apps. Using one of the third party apps to upload your vaccine record or test results allows your document to be verified before the day of screening, and will allow your quarantine exemption to be approved ahead of time. You can add them directly to your safe travels account under the apply for exemption from quarantine option. You don't actually need to use a third party app to upload your vaccine record or test results. The green QR code just means that one step was completed already. If your QR code is yellow when you get to the airport, your vaccine card or test results will be manually reviewed, and you will be approved at that time. The green just means that the document you are using to apply for the exemption from quarantine has been reviewed and approved. There isn't any problem with your QR code being yellow. Those are both specific items that you will need to provide the information for when you register your trip in safe travels. You can sign up for your safe travels account without knowing your flight, but you will need to have your flights and accommodations booked before adding your trip.
